Square One Concepts manages Bourbon & Bones Chophouse & Bar, Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Famous 48, and Wasted Grain.Job Summary:The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing bank and credit card transactions, and other related tasks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial activities and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review and transact bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis.
• Review and transact location payroll transactions.
• Along with the AP specialist, lead communication with vendors to resolve any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals, reconciling accounts, and generating reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as aging reports and cash flow analysis.
• Support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven experience and aptitude in general accounting roles (2-3 years minimum).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in multi-unit businesses and industries.
  • Novice to intermediate proficiency utilizing accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is desirable but not mandatorySystems Used:
    • Paylocity (HR, payroll, and employee Information)
    • Plate IQ (invoicing & payments)
    • Restaurant 365 (inventory management, finance, and reporting)
    • Microsoft 365
    • Dropbox/One DriveEducation and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred and/or 2-3 years direct experience in the role or related roles.Physical Requirements:
        • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
        • Prolonged periods of standing and working.
